Olympic Marathoner Blake Russell, a 2001 graduate of Elon's physical therapy program, recently spoke with Runner's World contributor Peter Gambaccini for a July 19 Q&A item on the website's Racing News section.
Russell competed in the marathon at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In April 2009, she gave birth to her first son, Quinn, and returned to competitive running earlier this year. Currently, she is training for November’s ING New York City Marathon.
In the Q&A with Gambaccini, Russell shared insights about her training regimen and how she returned to competitive shape after giving birth to her son. She lives with Quinn and her husband, John, in Pacific Grove, Calif.
