Amy Overman, an assistant professor of psychology, was an invited speaker on Aug. 17 for the seniors' club at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Burlington, N.C.
Her presentation, “Living the best life for your brain,” addressed strategies for taking control of one’s own brain health with anti-oxidants and physical exercise, as well as through cognitive training, which focuses on exercising the mind.
