Environmental Studies assistant professor Josh Kapfer recently co-authored a manuscript published in the Journal of Zoology titled "Modeling the relationship between habitat preferences and home-range size: a case study on a large mobile colubrid snake from North America."
The article investigates the influence of unsuitable habitat on the spatial ecology of Bullsnakes (Pituophis catenifer sayi), which are a protected species in some parts of the United States.
The Journal of Zoology, published by the Zoological Society of London, was named one of the 10 most influential journals in Biology and Medicine from the last 100 years by SLA’s biomedical and life sciences division.
