September 9th
Defining Moments: A student perspective – Kricket Feeney ‘11
Music: Dr. Omri Shimron, Assistant Professor – Music

Please join us this Thursday in Whitley Auditorium for College Chapel! We will continue to hear from speakers about how events in their lives have helped to define who they now are. We will be challenged to consider how past events – personal & public, positive & negative – have shaped and molded our present realities.

Thursday Chapel is a time and space to take a break from the busyness of the week and refresh the spirit. It is not a “worship service,” rather a time of reflection offered by a member of the Elon community or guest speaker. Music is provided each week by students and faculty from the Music department. Refreshments will be served following Chapel. All are welcome!

Kricket Feeney, of Boston, MA, is a senior Exercise Science major with minors in Public Health and Religious Studies. During her time at Elon, she has been involved in study abroad/international service experiences, various leadership opportunities, original research and over 200 hours of service. Kricket has a fond place in her heart for the Truitt Center. She is part of the Catholic Campus Ministry, Iron Tree Blooming (the meditation society), the inaugural spring break pilgrimage to Taize, and most recently, the two-week summer service trip to Morocco. She will be graduating in December and hopes to one day to be an epidemiologist for the United Nations (“too bad I’m terrible at French,” she jokes).
