Two members of the School of Communications Advisory Board took part in a panel discussion titled "The News We Watch: Is It Getting More Personal and Opinionated and, If So, Is That a Bad thing?" as part of the regional Broadcast Education Association Conference taking place at Elon Sept. 24-25.
Board members Michael Radutzky, a senior producer for “60 Minutes,” and Nina Easton, the Washington, D.C. editor of Fortune Magazine and a Fox News contributor, sat down with Elon associate provost Connie Book for a discussion that answered questions about fact vs. opinion in news coverage. The panel was moderated by Communications associate dean Kenn Gaither.
