Entrepreneurship students participated Sept. 23 in The Indus Entrepreneurs of Carolina’s (TiE) networking event at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. The students networked with approximately 80 high growth and technology entrepreneurs as part of their Entrepreneurship Skills course taught by Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Grace Ueng of Savvy Marketing Group moderated a conversation among past and present leaders from top North Carolina companies. Topics included strategies for initiating and sustaining a successful marketing effort in up and down markets and strategies for successful marketing internationally. Panelists were Michael Chen – Lulu Enterprises; Al Safarikas – Cree; Millie Tan – Quintiles Transnational; and Joel Berman – Red Hat.
TiE Carolinas is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to foster and support entrepreneurship in the Carolinas. This organization has three objectives:
– To network and to facilitate networking among members
– To foster entrepreneurship and to nurture entrepreneurs
– To help membership integrate with the mainstream community
