The Environmental Studies Department is hosting its Fall Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 4:15 p.m. in the yard behind the Powell House. The Environmental Studies Department is launching a new major and a new minor that have never been offered at Elon.
The department will continue to offer A.B. and B.S. degrees in Environmental Studies, but now it has a new major in Environmental and Ecological Science and a new minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies.
Professor Michael Kingston, interim chair of the department, said he believes the new minor will be attractive to undergraduates in the schools of communication and business as well as the undergraduates in Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.
