Ross Wade, the assistant director of Career Services for the School of Communications, co-presented at the annual North Carolina Career Development Conference Nov. 5 with a colleague from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s University Career Center.
Wade’s presentation, “What is Your Story?” was focused on how career professionals can use their personal career stories, or the success stories of past clients, to connect with, inspire and teach current clients struggling with career issues. Wade created a “career story tool” that walks career professionals, step-by-step, through the storytelling process as they construct relevant stories to share with their specific client population.
