Parents, students, community leaders and Elon University administrators gathered Tuesday for a half-day conversation on the future of Jewish culture on campus as the number of Jewish students continues to grow and as the university embarks on a commitment to global engagement and diversity in its newest strategic plan.

Dr. Carol Smith, associate professor in the Health and Human Performance Department, was elected Vice-President of the North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance for 2010-2011 during its annual conference held Nov. 10-13 in Winston-Salem.

This week’s topic, The Course Environment, highlights some of the changes to the Blackboard interface. The redesigned interface decreases the number of clicks, adds drag and drop functionality, and the ability to quickly edit the course information.
Kindle readers now available at Belk Library

Belk Library now has six Amazon Kindle e-book readers to loan to Elon students, faculty and staff. The Belk Kindles have pre-loaded titles, including 25 of the most popular Kindle books currently on sale at Amazon. Additional titles will be added at least once more during the academic year.
