There may be no better way of encouraging children to read than by allowing them to choose a stack of new books for their home collections. On Wednesday evening, with the help of Elon University students, that’s just what 22 elementary school students did with their tutors from the School of Education.

Members of the "Programming and Event Management" class in the Department of Sport and Event Management raised $525 to benefit the Campus Kitchen Project at Elon with a “Minute To Win It” event in McKinnon Hall on Nov. 16.

Shopping for the holidays? Faculty and staff may purchase discount movie tickets for the new Alamance Crossing Carousel Cinemas in Burlington or the Carousel Grande in Greensboro at the matinee price of $6.25 each. Simply pay for the number of tickets you would like to purchase in the Bursar’s Office. Bring your receipt to the Office of Human Resources to pick up the tickets.
