On June 26, Martha Peters, professor of legal education at Elon Law, presented at the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar Associate Deans' Conference, "Nudge: Leading, Motivating, and Team Building."
Peters’ presentation was entitled, “Wellness Initiatives for Students.” Her remarks explored various opportunities to enhance the well being of law students and approaches to help law students cope with stress, health issues and medical concerns. The presentation included contributions by Matthew Reel, Assistant Director of the Arkansas Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program.
Peters teaches primarily within the academic skills program at Elon Law, offering coaching opportunities to individual students to support the development of effective study techniques, including approaches to reading cases, writing briefs, and organizing materials, as well as techniques for time management and test taking.
The conference was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from June 24-27.
