Steve DeLoach, a professor of economics, made a presentation at the Allied Social Science Associations annual meetings held Jan. 6-9, 2011. The ASSA is the largest annual economics conference, attracting more than 10,000 academic and government economists from all over the world.
The paper, “Creating quality undergraduate research programs in economics: how, when, where (and why?)” is a collaberative effort with colleagues from Randolph College and the University of North Florida.
The paper grew out of work the three researchers did as part of an NSF-funded grant to create a module for the online portal, “Starting Point: teaching and learning in economics.” The site is maintained at Carleton College.
