Amy Overman, an assistant professor of psychology, was an invited speaker on Feb. 8 for the Women's Club at Twin Lakes Retirement Community.
Her talk,”Successful brain aging,” focused on neuroplasticity and research-based approaches to improving cognitive function as a person ages, such as socialization, cognitive training and exercise. She also shared several current undergraduate student research projects she is mentoring in her laboratory, the Cognitive Neuroscience of Memory & Aging Lab.
