Student leaders from The Pendulum and Phi Psi Cli Yearbook were honored with individual and Best of Show awards at the fourth annual North Carolina College Media Association conference Feb. 19 at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. Students and advisers from student media organizations from across the state participated in the daylong event that focused primarily on reporting for and on the arts.
Hundreds of entries from more than 20 media outlets submitted materials for awards consideration. Below is a list of only the Elon winners. (Numbers next to the names indicate the place students finished in a particular category.)

Pendulum students who attended the NCCMA conference were editor Anna Johnson, news editor Caitlin O’Donnell, design editor Marlena Chertock and copy editor Madelyn Smith. Pendulum adviser Colin Donohue and Phi Psi Cli adviser Randy Piland also made the trip.
In total, more than 120 people from more than 10 universities and colleges in North Carolina were in attendance.
