A week-long trivia contest that tests knowledge of Elon University’s history begins today with a chance for students, faculty and staff to win gift cards to local businesses. Read this story to learn more and to qualify for a gift card prize from the Student Government Association.

Each weekday from March 7-11, 2011, a new question will be posted on E-Net before 10 a.m. All Elon students, faculty and staff are welcome to submit one answer to foundersday@elon.edu, and at the end of each day, all correct answers will be pooled and a winner chosen at random.
For help finding the answers to the trivia questions, visit a display in the Moseley Center on Powell’s life and legacy. Answers may be submitted until 6 p.m.
A special College Coffee and tree planting is set for Tuesday, March 8, and a special chapel program will be held Thursday, March 10, to honor the life and legacy of this year’s honoree, Dr. T.E. Powell ’19, who founded Carolina Biological Supply Company.
