A week-long trivia contest that tests knowledge of Elon University’s history is now in its final day with a chance for students, faculty and staff to win gift cards and prizes to local businesses. Each weekday from March 7-11, 2011, a new question will be posted on E-Net before 10 a.m. All Elon students, faculty and staff are welcome to submit one answer to foundersday@elon.edu, and at the end of each day, all correct answers will be pooled and a winner chosen at random.
A special College Coffee and tree planting was held Tuesday, March 8, and a special chapel program held Thursday, March 10, to honor professor Thomas E. Powell ’19, who founded Carolina Biological Supply Company.
