What does it take to be a good reporter? NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams has several thoughts, including: “Know your audience. Know your subject.” One of America’s most acclaimed journalists on Friday shared with Elon University students his views on the media, technology, and on balancing work and family in a Whitley Auditorium question-and-answer discussion sprinkled with wit and wisdom.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program recently requested volunteer Elon students to provide computer job skill training to seniors. Two students, Caretta Davis and David MacLeod, in the CIS 211 Management Information Systems course taught by Professor Maureen Allen prepared and conducted workshops for 2.5 hours on April 4th and April 6th. The training provided the seniors the fundamental skills needed to use Google Gmail.

The Campus Kitchen at Elon University (CKEU) is accepting donations of brownie mix throughout the month of April.

United States Senator Richard Burr will deliver Elon University School of Law's 2011 Commencement address, scheduled for Sunday, May 22, at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro.
