On Wednesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 21 Anna Lappé will be visiting campus in celebration of Earth Day. Ms. Lappé is respected for her work on sustainability, food politics, globalization and social change. Named one of Time’s “eco” Who’s-Who, Ms. Lappé is a founding principal of the Small Planet Institute and the Small Planet Fund. Her latest book is Diet for a Hot Planet: The Climate Crisis at the End of Your Fork and What You Can Do about It.
Ms. Lappé will be speaking at 7:30 p.m. in McKinnon Hall on Wednesday, April 20. Following her talk, she will be available to sign copies of her latest book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase before and after her talk.
Ms. Lappé will also be the guest speaker for College Chapel on Thursday, April 21 with remarks entitled Hope’s Edge: Connecting the Planet, Plate and Place.
