Leary Davis presents at Santa Clara School of Law Leadership Education Roundtable

Leary Davis, founding dean and professor of law emeritus at Elon Law, delivered a presentation titled, "Competence as Situationally Appropriate Conduct: An Overarching Concept for Lawyering, Leadership and Professionalism," at the 2011 Santa Clara Law Leadership Education Roundtable.

The Roundtable gathered together leading academics, law school administrators, professional development experts, and practicing lawyers to share their views on educating law students and lawyers for leadership roles.

In addition to Davis, others delivering presentations at the conference included: Donald Polden, Dean, Santa Clara University School of Law; Heather E. Bock, Executive Director for the Center of the Study of the Legal Profession at Georgetown Law and the Chief Professional Development Officer for Howrey LLP; Susan Daicoff, Professor of Law, Florida Coastal School of Law; Deborah L. McFarland Professor of Law and Director, Center on the Legal Profession, Stanford Law School; and Neil Hamilton, Professor of Law and Director, Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions, University of St. Thomas School of Law.

In 2010, Elon Law Professor Faith Rivers James presented on Elon Law’s Leadership Program at the Santa Clara Law Leadership Roundtable.
