Shaw University in Raleigh has requested Elon University's assistance for helping to clean up from the damage caused by the tornadoes earlier this month. The Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement has a tornado relief service trip planned for Saturday, April 30.

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation has donated $15,000 to the Journalism That Matters nonprofit organization to support “Create or Die 2” (http://www.createordie2.org), a design | build | pitch event in Greensboro on June 2-5.
Nationally renowned wildlife tracker leads workshop at Elon this weekend

Elon's Center for Environmental Studies is hosting a Wildlife Tracking and Vertebrate Field Survey workshop that will be co-taught by Jim Halfpenny, a nationally-renowned wildlife tracker and carnivore ecologist from Montana, and Josh Kapfer of the departments of environmental studies and biology. The workshop starts Saturday, April 30 and ends Sunday, May 1.
