CATL announces Summer Programs and Workshops

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) announces new reading groups, course design working groups, and two new workshops this summer, and continues to offer individual or group consultations about teaching and learning.

Ray Land Ray Land, a leading expert regarding “Threshold concepts”, a framework that is shaping significant new research on teaching and learning in Europe. Dr Land is from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. COURSE DEVELOPMENT GROUPS

  • CATL will run course development groups for faculty who are creating new or revising existing courses for the fall (or the future). During the group process, you will focus on a single course of your choosing.
    Please email Barbara Guy by May 20 to sign up for a group or to ask any questions about the process.

    Please note that we’ll also have course design groups available for the fall if that fits your schedule better.
