Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, presented at a March 24 panel discussion in the 2011 MIT Global Startup Workshop in Seoul, South Korea.
The workshop theme was “Unleashing Entrepreneurial Potential to Invigorate the Economy.”
The “Tech Transfer & The Role of Universities” panel discussed strategies, obstacles and examples of commercializing university technology. Panelists included Palin; Steve Brown, founder of Innovate4Growth and MIT Technology Licensing Ambassador; Maria Adamian, Director Business Incubator, Higher School of Economics in Moscow; and Barbara Igel, dean of the Asian Institute of Technology Business School in Singapore.
The MIT Global Startup Workshop is the world’s premier conference on fostering entrepreneurship through supportive and catalytic infrastructure such as that epitomized by MIT’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
