Alice Turner '10 played the lead role in the Burning Coal Theatre Company's production of "My Name is Rachel Corrie," a powerful drama based on the diary of a young American woman who was killed in the Gaza Strip while trying to prevent an Israeli bulldozer from demolishing a Palestinian home.
The performance ran May 19-22 at the Murphey School in Raleigh, N.C. It was Turner’s first role with the company.
“My Name Is Rachel Corrie,” co-written by acclaimed actor Alan Rickman, debuted in 2005 at The Royal Court Theatre in London. The Raleigh production was directed by Tea Alagic. For more information about the play, click here.
