Elon Law celebrates full accreditation

Speakers included Elon University President Leo M. Lambert, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Steven House, and law school Dean George R. Johnson, Jr.

Alamance County youth share ideas for school improvement

They want to buy more books for their middle schools and renovate bathrooms with fresh paint. They’d also like to expand extracurricular programs, and introduce biodegradable trays to the lunchroom. For students in the Alamance Youth Leadership Academy, Wednesday morning’s closing ceremony in McKinnon Hall was a time to share school improvement projects for the year ahead with parents and local educators.

UNC standout Charlotte Smith named Elon’s new head women’s basketball coach

Former college and professional basketball star Charlotte Smith was introduced June 22 as Elon's new head women's basketball coach. Smith has spent the last nine years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, UNC-Chapel Hill, where she had an All-American career topped by a last-second shot that earned UNC the national title in 1995.

Elon students win recognition for outstanding undergraduate research

The North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) Undergraduate Research Program recognizes students across North Carolina for their outstanding work in STEM-related undergraduate research. This year, Elon University students Ali Deatsch and Kelly Giffear were among the five students recognized statewide.

Senior class joins alumni ranks with gift to Elon

Student leaders collected more than $28,000 this year from seniors, their parents, grandparents and friends through the Senior Class Giving Campaign, which asked students to make a gift to the area of campus that meant the most to their experience while at Elon.
