Ross Wade, assistant director of Career Services for the School of Communications, along with three career development colleagues from UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University and UNC Pembroke planned and facilitated a one day conference on the use of social media tools in career development practice.
The Career Counselor Technology Gathering (CCTG), hosted by Elon University, was an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for career counselors to share and learn about new and useful technologies in a flexible environment. The gathering consisted of discussions, demos and contributions from attendees representing Princeton University, Columbia University, Vanderbuilt University and more than 10 North Carolina colleges and universities. CCTG ideas and insights were tweeted throughout the day (#CCTG).
