Bird Stasz, an associate professor of education, and Jeff Carpenter, an assistant professor of education, are providing technical support for pre-service teacher education in Tajikistan through the USAID/Quality Learning Project, administered by Creative Associates International, Inc. and funded by United States Agency for International Development.
On June 24, they facilitated a seminar with Tajik colleagues from Tajikistan State Pedagogical University and Qurghonteppa State University to discuss connecting university classroom experiences to outcomes during student teaching practice. They are supporting the USAID/QLP team in the creation of professional development experiences for Tajik teacher educators.
