Chase Home Lending – Consumer Credit Training Program

Chase Home Lending – Consumer Credit Training Program will provide you with the skills and knowledge to start a career as a Credit Analyst. The training will be a comprehensive classroom and hands-on experience and prepare you to perform the following functions:

• Apply underwriting principles of CAPACITY, CAPITAL, CHARACTER, COLLATERAL and CONDITION
• Examine residential loan packages, assess risk and set parameters/terms for approval, modification, and/or rejection, make decisions to approve/decline loans for all first underwrites
• Examine mitigating factors to ensure mortgaged properties are at sufficient market value to secure the loan
• Independently review acceptable levels of loan risk on individual loans with loan originators and risk management
• Maintain relations with loan originators and operations partners while managing credit quality

After completion of the training your responsibilities may include:

• Interact with the Home Lending Sales Team to help execute credit policies
• Review applications, negotiate acceptable terms, resolve program, product, and pricing issues, and price for appropriate risk/reward trade-off
• Negotiate customer solutions for Home Lending customers and the bank to maximize volume and minimize risk (achieving a balance of volume, profitability, and risk are essential to success)
• Resolve funding issues on contracts and review and interpret financial information
• Cultivate and develop internal relationships with other Analysts, business counterparts, and Sales, Collections, and Funding team members

**Candidates must be open to relocation and be eligible to work in the U.S. at the completion of the program

• Training to be completed in New York, NY

Permanent placement will be based on business needs, locations may include:

Qualifications
Recent undergraduate degree required (Dec 2010/May 2011); business-related degree preferred but all majors are welcome to apply
• Have the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Display excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical results, and have the ability to synthesize information, reach logical conclusions, manage projects, evaluate and improve processes, and present findings
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to multi-task while working independently and within a team and execute within an ambiguous environment
• Build rapport and establish strong working relationships with colleagues
• Highly motivated, takes initiative
