David Ogden, an important and influential attorney, is coming to Elon on Thursday, Sept. 15.
Ogden has clerked for Justice Blackmun at the Supreme Court, served as Barack Obama’s Deputy Attorney General and Bill Clinton’s Associate Deputy Attorney General, and he has worked at a major law firm in D.C.
He will be holding a question-and-answer session on Sept. 15 at 4:15 p.m. in Lindner 206 for all those interested in recent US history/politics, the field of law, the Obama administration, the Supreme Court and related subjects.
He will also be giving a talk titled “Justice at the Intersection of Law and Politics,” in the Isabella Cannon Room in the Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 15.
If you are thinking about working for the government, are interested in politics and issues of justice, or just enjoy bright, lively, passionate and articulate speakers, you’ll want to catch Ogden at one or both of his events.
Mr. Ogden has an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Harvard.
