Paid Internship: $10.00 per hour
Transportation Intern-Bilingual-Writing & Reading fluency
Need someone Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays only, between 9am – 3pm (flexible)
Responsible for establishing and maintaining bilingual communications with residents of Alamance County for transportation related issues. Convert literature for bilingual use. Prepare presentations for services available. Participate in training syllabus related to public transportation structures and issues.
WORKING PROCEDURE:
1. Work through structured training syllabus on Public Transportation
2. Prepare bilingual materials as required.
3. Prepare bilingual presentations as required.
4. Take phone calls as required from Spanish speaking callers.
5. Set up trips and explain services.
6. Other assignments as provided by the Executive Director.
SKILLS NEEDED
1. Ability to work and interact with a bilingual community.
2. Effective oral and written communications skills.
3. Organizational skills.
4. Demonstrated initiative.
5. Proficient in computer use.
You must be able to work 10 hours per week.
