Assistant professor of music Omri Shimron presented a lecture-recital at Winthrop University's Music Department on Sunday, Sep 25.
His presentation included a short lecture on Frederic Rzewski’s “The People United Will Never Be Defeated!” (1975) — a set of 36 variations on a Chilean song — followed by a performance of the entire set.
