Beta Alpha Psi hosted its 10th annual Accounting and Finance Meet and Greet on Sept. 12 in McKinnon Hal connecting students with 25 accounting and finance firms.
The Meet and Greet provided students the opportunity to interact with potential employers and talk about possible internships or employment. Around 200 students attended, all dressed in professional business attire. Students were more prepared than they have been in previous years, coming equipped with polished resumes and networking skills.
All “Big Four” accounting firms were in attendance. Other notable firms at the event were Cherry Bekaert and Holland, Credit Suisse, EMC2, IBM Corporation and Smith Leonard.
“It was the most successful Meet and Greet we’ve ever had. We had many more national recruiters, not just local offices,” said Beta Alpha Psi vice president Alex Dempsey, a senior accounting and finance major.
Beta Alpha Psi is the international honorary organization for financial information students and professionals.
