Ross Wade, assistant director of career services for the School of Communications, presented to the Triangle Social Media club Sept. 22 to discuss ways job hunters can use social media to better market themselves and enhance their job search.
Attendees included Elon University Interactive Media master’s students and digital marketing and social media professionals from the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill areas. A majority of the session was dedicated to an open discussion about social media and the job search, where professionals discussed their thoughts, and iMedia students asked questions and had the opportunity to network.
The Triangle Social Media Club brings together journalists, publishers, communications professionals, artists, amateur media creators, citizen journalists, teachers, students, tool makers and other interested collaborators to expand media literacy, share lessons learned among practitioners and encourage adoption of industry standards.
