Chris Leupold presents to doctoral students

On Thursday, Oct. 20, Chris Leupold, associate professor of psychology and Faculty Leadership Fellow, delivered a presentation titled “A Little of This and a Little of That: Careers in I/O, ” to the graduate students of the Clemson Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychologists.

An industrial-organizational (I/O) psychologist himself, Leupold shared his perspectives on the employment trends and opportunities for new Ph.D.’s in the field. In addition, he shared his own personal employment experiences in external and internal consulting capacities and noted employer expectations in both. Among attendees were Leupold’s former Elon student mentees Christie Kelley (Elon College Fellow 2008) and Lauren Ellis (Honors Fellow, 2010), both of whom are currently doctoral students in Clemson’s I/O program.
