Communications assistant professor Max Negin and Communications associate professor Amanda Sturgill presented a study at Convergence and Society: Journalism, Sustainability and Media Regeneration.
The co-authored paper, titled “Know You, Trust You, Use You: A case study in what readers want from journalists using social media,” was discussed at the converged media conference Oct. 27 at Newsplex in Columbia, S.C. The conference featured presentations by both media professionals and researchers. Negin and Sturgill’s work focused on reader statements on how they want journalists to use Facebook profiles.
