Have you thanked a veteran today? If not, please consider donating care package supplies to Team Hero! Collection bins can be found in Koury Athletics, Moseley, and Colonnades from Nov. 1 until Nov. 11. Team Hero will package and ship items to troops in Afghanistan. Also, stop by the Team Hero table at College Coffee on November 8 to donate items or Phoenix cash!
Here’s what the troops need:
– hand sanitizer (travel size)
– batteries (any size)
– baby powder (travel size)
– baby wipes (travel size)
– Q-tips (travel pack)
– eye drops
– Powder drink mix (Gatorade, Propel)
– Sunflower seeds
– Power bars/cereal bars
– Gum
– Dart boards
– Nerf sports equipment
If you cannot donate supplies, please consider volunteering your time to assemble care packages! On Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, from 2-5 p.m., we will have tables set up in the Koury Athletic concourse (outside alumni gym), where anyone passing by can help assemble care packages, write a letter to the troops or donate to Team Hero.
