“Farms, Families and Markets: New Evidence on Agricultural Household Behavior”

Daniel LaFave, economics graduate student at Duke University, explores an important topic in development economics: Does the demographic composition of a farming household affect the demand for labor on their farm?  The results have implications for theoretical and empirical work development economics.
