The Student Professional Development Center is hiring for Student Ambassador positions starting in Winter Term.
Responsibilities:
Customer facing student ambassador that assists in managing front desk of Career Services / Student Professional Development Center (SPDC). Answer phones, schedule appointments, approve new mentors, and provide updates to technology i.e. website, Google maps, Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn etc. Troubleshoot the Elon Job Network (EJN) for those having issues with the system. Provide information about SPDC’s services to parents, alum, executives, graduate schools, internships, and students. Aid staff with Cap and Gown initiative. Provide assistance in regard to center’s resources, programs, and events. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Highly selective student who will build upon their resume by interfacing with employers, administrators, peers, alumni, parents, graduate schools, internships, and Student Professional Development Center staff at an exclusive level. Possess strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to thoroughly understand university programs, and procedures. High degree of competence in using technology and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service and communication skills (phone, oral, dress, and written). Marketing, public relations computer, and social networking skills highly desirable.
Number Needed: Five (5)
Scheduled Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
(5-15 hours a week)
