Ava Bowen '75 shares inspirational stories about the challenges and blessings of life in her first book, Seasons of Joy, published by Westbow Press.
Seasons of Joy includes 21 stories about the struggles and successes experienced by Bowen and her family, friends, acquaintances and students over a 40-day period. The book is available in paperback, hardcover and electronic copy at www.westbowpress.com, or at your local retailer.
Affectionately known as “Miss Ava” and “The Science Lady,” Bowen graduated from Elon in 1975 and became an educator. She founded The Original Curiosity Camp in Charlotte, N.C., and presents hands-on science programs in area schools and summer camps at Providence Day School.
Bowen has three other books in development that she hopes to publish in the near future.
