Michelle B. Clifton '92, a Winston-Salem, N.C.-based attorney, has written a chapter and co-edited a general personal injury practice handbook in partnership with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
The handbook is titled Personal Injury Practice in North Carolina.
Clifton, who received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1995, specializes in personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice law, as well as other business, administrative and regulatory matters. Her chapter in the handbook is titled “DWI and Other Punitive Issues.”
“It is an honor and a privilege to be asked to participate in a publication that lawyers across the state will turn to for years to come for advice and guidance on how to handle personal injury cases,” Clifton says. “We hope the manual will become a primary resource for personal injury law practices new to the state and long-time practitioners.”
In addition to her membership with the North Carolina Advoates for Justice, Clifton belongs to the N.C. Bar Association and the Forsyth County Bar Association. She serves on the board of trustees for Forsyth Country Day School.
