Talented graduates of Elon's music theatre program share news of their recent professional success.
- Lindsay Northen ’03 will appear in an episode of “CSI: Miami” on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 10 p.m. ET.
- Kiira Schmidt ’03, currently appearing in “Follies” on Broadway, will join the cast of “Anything Goes” in January. She’ll be the understudy for Reno Sweeney.
- Former Elon student Taylor Trensch, who recently appeared in the world premiere of “Little Miss Sunshine” at the La Jolla Playhouse, will play Boq in the Broadway company of “Wicked” Jan. 23-April 22, 2012.
- Former Elon student Grant Gustin, now a regular on the hit FOX show “Glee,” will appear in an episode of “CSI: Miami” in January.
- Tara Jayne Sissom ’07 will appear in Eugene O’Neil’s “The Iceman Cometh” at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre for the 2012 season. She’ll be starring alongside lead actors Nathan Lane and Brian Dennehy.
- Alex Ellis ’05 is currently performing alongside Harry Connick Jr. in her second Broadway show, “On a Clear Day…”
- Todd Horman ’94, the first graduate of Elon’s music theatre program, is performing with the Broadway company of “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.”
- Katie Emerson ’09 will appear as Minne Fay in “Hello, Dolly” at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter, Fla., from March 13 to April 1, 2012.
- Johnny Stellard ’10 just finished the North Carolina Theatre’s run of “Evita” and will join the show’s Broadway company, which includes singer Ricky Martin, beginning March 12, 2012.
- Barrett Weed ’11 will make her Broadway debut in February in a new musical, Lysistrata Jones.
- Rob Marnell ’06 and Andrew Frace ’04 are performing with the company of “Jersey Boys” in at The Palazzo in Las Vegas.
- Greg Maheu ’07 is appearing in “A Christmas Carol” at Washington, D.C.’s Ford Theatre. This spring, he’ll appear as Rutledge in “1776” at the historic theatre in the Nation’s Capital.
- Maurice Whitfield ’07 guest-starred on the CBS daytime drama “The Young and The Restless on Nov. 30.
- Matt Shingledecker ’08 is starring in an off-Broadway production of “Rent” at the New World Stages.
