The Office of Career Services reports that 95 percent of respondents in a recent survey of the Class of 2011 utilized its services while at Elon.

Three months after graduating from Elon University, more than half of alumni from the Class of 2011 reported being employed, and another 28 percent of respondents to a post-graduation survey reported they are enrolled or have been accepted to graduate or professional schools.
Each graduating class is surveyed three different times (at graduation, three months out, and nine months out). The following information is related to the three-month-out survey.
To date, 88% (992/1127) of the class has reported on their post-graduation activities.
2011 Graduates Off to a Strong Start
• 52% are employed
• 28% are enrolled or have been accepted to graduate or professional school (an additional 7% are concurrently enrolled in graduate school and working); 38% of Arts and Sciences graduates have gone on to graduate school
• 89% of those employed indicate that their position “is related to my career objective.”
• 89% of this class completed an internship (all-time high)
Internships and Networking Key to Employment
• 67% reported a career lead came from an internship
• 48% reported a career lead through parents/other family
• 26% reported a career lead through alumni
Professional Development Makes a Difference at Elon
• 95% of the Class of 2011 reported utilizing career services while at Elon through appointments, career fairs, grad school fairs, workshops, programs, virtual appointments and walk-in visits. By comparison, 73% of exiting seniors nationally for the Class of 2011 reported utilization of their respective career office according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
