Anna Arnopolsky, Robert Garner and Dominic Longo, all third-year law students at Elon, were selected by the editorial board of the Journal of Legal Studies in Business (JLSB) to serve as law student staff editors.
The JLSB maintains high peer-review quality standards and has a selective 15 to 20 percent acceptance rate.
“I accepted this staff editor position because I believe it is an excellent opportunity to further develop tools that lend to success in a legal career focused on business and litigation,” said Garner, who served as Vice-President of the Business Law Association and presently serves as Chair of the Student Advocacy Board at Elon Law, an organization committed to cultivating superior trial advocacy skills through participation in regional competitions.
Garner’s legal internship experiences include Scott Law Offices in High Point, North Carolina and the Moore County Attorney’s Office in Carthage, North Carolina, where he also completed an externship.
Longo received a BBA from Stetson University, working in marketing during his undergraduate years and after graduation, before coming to law school.
“Business law and intellectual property law are what interest me,” Longo said, “I was attracted to serving on the editorial staff of this journal because of my interests, along with the belief that my background, work experiences and past education would benefit the Journal.”
In the summer of 2011 Longo interned at the East Carolina University Office of Technology Transfer. He is currently interning at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Office of Innovation Commercialization.
The JLSB is listed in Cabell’s Directory and available by hard copy subscription or via journal databases such as ABI-Inform, ProQuest and Ebsco.
