Members of the elondocs production program participated in a retreat and master class on Saturday at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.
Sam Pollard, documentary producer, director and editor, led the two-hour master class. Pollard spoke to the audience about the importance of research and showed clips from his films he edited, including Spike Lee’s “Four Little Girls,” for which Pollard won an Emmy.
As a part of the retreat, elondocs members Sam Siberini, Catherine Creeden, Gaby Leibowitz and Alex Hadden pitched ideas for their elondocs production program final documentary projects. Each student will complete a short video documentary during the spring semester.
