Join 2011 Mrs. Black North Carolina, Sandra Dubose-Gibson, as she delivers an empowering speech to the Elon community about our responsibility to acknowledge, celebrate, and continue the legacy of inner beauty.
In celebration of Black History Month, Sandra will deliver a special soul stirring performance through poetry, motivational speaking and song. She will talk about the inherent royalty in each of us and our ability and social responsibility to leave a legacy that the next generation will be honored to follow. Whether you wear an apron or a crown and sash, you can be the change you want to see when you embrace the King and Queen in you. This event is sponsored by the ladies of the Omicron Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as they celebrate their 2012 PhenOmEnal Woman Week (February 12-18, 2012)
