Jessica Gisclair, department chair in the School of Communications, presented, "How to Find a Work/Life Balance" at the Twenty-Ninth Annual Academic Chairpersons Conference, Orlando, Fla., Feb. 9-10.
The purpose of the session was to discuss how responsibility outside of work can be a source of strength and a resource of practical skills. The discussion focused on identifying transferable skills from personal life experience to the role as department chair, recognizing obstacles to work and personal life connection, and developing a plan to actualize a balanced life.
