Josh Goldstein, a double major in music and applied math, recently presented a lecture/recital for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter meeting of College Music Society.
The conference was held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on Feb. 24-25. His presentation, part of an ongoing project for the College Fellows Program, was titled: “Informed Performance Through Analysis: C.P.E Bach’s Cello Concerto in A major, Wq. 172.”
His College Fellows mentor, Assistant Professor Omri Shimron, presented a poster at this conference, titled: “Influence and Direct Allusions in Rzewski’s 36 Variations on ‘The People United Will Never Be Defeated!’. Shimron’s work on Rzewski has been supported by a Junior Faculty sabbatical and Release-Time Fellowships from FR&D.
