Eileen "Ellie" Sorge '09 and Mark Archambault DHSc, PA-C, founding Chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, were formally recognized at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine's Department of Physician Assistant Studies Hooding and Award ceremony on May 15.
During the awards banquet, “Academic Distinction in the Clinical Year” was awarded to 19 of the 53 graduates. Ellie Sorge was held as the last announced recipient and was further recognized as being the first and only student to ever earn “Honors” in every single clinical year course.
As part of the formal hooding ceremony, the Class of 2011 awarded four student awards to eligible teachers, faculty and clinical preceptors. Archambault received both the “Honorary Katherine Anderson Society Member” and “Outstanding Service to the Class of 2011” awards.
