The Department of Economics in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business invites all students and faculty to attend their 2011-12 seminar series featuring speakers with a wide range of economic expertise addressing current economic issues.

What: “Do Initial Endowments Matter Only Initially? Birth Weight, Parental Investments and Academic Achievement in School”

Juan Eberhard from USC Marshall School of Business will present. The seminar explores the effects, if any, of low birth weight on academic achievement. It also explores parental investment in children with low birth weight versus normal/high birth weight.
