Seniors Cody Lance and Brittney Baglino competed in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) March 2-5.
Hosted by Kennesaw State University, the NCSC is the largest and oldest sales role-play competition in existence.
Out of 130 students, Lance placed among the top 16 and Baglino finished in the top 30.
“Elon competed with 65 other colleges and universities from around the nation, most of which have mature and developed sales programs,” said Lance. “Being a semifinalist is more than I could have wished for.”
Michael Rodriguez, assistant professor of marketing, served as faculty coach. He was assisted by student coaches Lindsay Richardson ‘12, Kyle Shoemaker ‘12, Patrick Reynolds ‘12, Zach Henderson ’12 and Julie Rodriguez ’15.
“Participating in the NCSC was an extremely valuable experience,” said Baglino. “That, along with the sales knowledge and exceptional training I received, will help me to achieve success in my future endeavors.”
Lance and Baglino are both marketing majors who are actively involved with the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
