David Neville, assistant professor of German; Scott Windham, associate professor of German; and Thomas Tiemann, Jefferson Pilot Professor of Economics, made a presentation titled “Fostering Early Trajectories of Participation: A Blended Learning Environment for Teaching Business German” at the annual CIBER (Centers for International Business Education and Research) Business Language Conference hosted by Kenan-Flager Business School of UNC-CH held in Chapel Hill on March 21-23, 2012.
Their presentation explained how, using activity and situated cognition theory, a blended learning environment was developed to teach business German as a “light overlay” to the existing German 121,122,221and 222 courses.
